TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for a 13‑week assignment in New Orleans, Louisiana, in the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU).

Responsibilities
Provide critical care to patients with potentially life‑threatening heart conditions.
Prepare and administer prescribed medications.
Take samples for diagnostic tests; order, interpret and evaluate diagnostic tests.
Apply hemodynamic, phlebotomy and IV protocols.
Be called in for emergencies to provide CPR and operate defibrillators hospital‑wide.
Educate patients and family members on how to manage recovery at home.
Physical Requirements
CVICU Travel Nurses should be able to stand and walk for long periods of time, bend, lean and stoop without difficulty. Nurses should be able to lift up to 20 pounds routinely and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds when moving or lifting patients. The fast‑paced environment demands the ability to cope with stress and to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.
Qualifications
BLS certification
ACLS certification
NIH certification
Minimum of 2 years of recent acute care experience
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
