Job Description & Requirements
TNAA TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for an 8-week assignment in Fort Madison, Iowa. The assignment requires 36 hours per week, 12-hour night shifts, and is a travel position.
We are looking for Emergency Room RNs with 1–2 years of recent acute care experience. As an ER Travel Nurse, you will work with a diverse team to evaluate, triage, and implement care per physician instructions in a fast-paced, urgent environment. Responsibilities include:
Provide basic bedside care.
Clean and bandage wounds.
Provide IV therapy.
Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
Additional tasks include documenting medical history, checking for allergies, obtaining vital signs, monitoring patients' emotional and physical well-being, and planning long-term care needs.
RNs must stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 20 pounds easily and occasionally up to 50 pounds, and cope with stress while working with patients of all ages.
Requirements
ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIH, TNCC, and 2 years of recent RN experience. Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.
