Responsibilities
Emergency Room RNs will perform duties in a fast-paced, urgent and emergency environment. Responsibilities include evaluating, triaging and implementing care according to procedures and physician instructions, documenting medical history, checking for allergies, obtaining patient vital signs, monitoring patients’ emotional and physical well-being, and advising patients and families on illnesses or injuries. The ER travel nurse should be prepared to perform the following tasks:
Provide basic bedside care
Clean and bandage wounds
Provide IV therapy
Maintain supplies and medical equipment
Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies
Qualifications
ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIH, 2 Years
Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
