Overview
This is a grant funded position for 30-40 hours a week, with an estimated begin date of August 2026 and end date in May 2027.
FWCS will contract with students enrolled with our higher education partners pursuing therapeutic counseling licensure to serve as restorative practices interns in our secondary schools.
Responsibilities
Interns will provide comprehensive support services to parents, students and school staff to promote mental health and a safe and healthy learning environment. The position supports the Multi-Tier System of Supports (MTSS) through the development, implementation, and sustainability of Restorative Practices through an equity-centered social, emotional, and academic learning integrated framework. Interns will support staff and students to ensure the school climate is responsive to behavioral and character expectations and needs and will work collaboratively with all staff in the development of multi-tiered systems of support grounded in restorative practices, coordinate the implementation of student-led circles and monitor the fidelity of implementation.
