Shifts: 2nd Shift; rotating weekends and holidays

Locations: Endeavor Healthsystem – Evanston, Skokie, Glenbrook, Highland Park, NCH, and Swedish. Candidates must have reliable transportation to travel between sites.

Compensation
Hourly rate: $18 to $20 (depending on experience)

Job Responsibilities

Maintain a friendly, efficient, and positive customer service attitude toward customers, clients, and co‑workers.

Anticipate and respond to customer needs.

Use proper procedures for hard floor care (stripping & refinishing, burnishing, spray cleaning, and spray buffing) in adherence with the principles of hard surface floor maintenance.

Use proper procedures for carpet and upholstery care (shampooing, damp surface cleaning, extraction, spot cleaning, vacuuming, etc.).

Operate industrial floor care equipment as assigned and according to schedule for cleaning large floor areas.

Perform maintenance and restorative processes for all floor surface types.

Properly process all municipal solid waste (MSW), infectious, and pharmaceutical waste, ensuring infectious waste is rendered as MSW.

Remove trash, recyclables, soiled linen, used supplies and equipment from assigned work areas and disinfect receptacles and carts as needed.

Follow all Aramark safety standards, sanitation and infection control standards, and procedures required by appropriate accredited local agencies.

Adhere to all Aramark appearance standards and consistently wear the required uniform and personal protective equipment (PPE) while working.

Qualifications

Previous experience as a floor care technician or in a related role and knowledge of floor care equipment and its use is preferred.

Must be able to read and write to facilitate proper communication with others and perform simple mathematical calculations.

Candidate must have reliable transportation to travel to different sites and be flexible for rotating weekends and holidays.

This role may have physical demands including, but not limited to, lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, and/or extended walking and standing. The role may also require uniforms and/or the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
