About the role
We are seeking a dynamic and flexible Physiotherapist to join our Specialised Rehabilitation Program (SRP) Team in a full‑time, fixed‑term capacity. The SRP supports the safe and timely discharge of patients from Western Health inpatient wards and optimises recovery for all clients.
Key responsibilities
Provide best‑practice, person‑centred, occupation‑focused care for musculoskeletal and cardiorespiratory (exercise rehabilitation) clients.
Manage a caseload split between cardiorespiratory and musculoskeletal streams, with opportunities for general rehabilitation.
Deliver treatment in musculoskeletal stream via individual or group sessions, including aquatic rehabilitation; work in centre‑based, telehealth, home and community settings.
Provide cardiorespiratory (exercise rehabilitation) outpatient care for cardiac, chronic heart failure and pulmonary rehabilitation clients, as well as general rehabilitation for those not suited to exercise groups.
Deliver interventions to individuals or groups in centre‑based, home or community settings using face‑to‑face, telehealth and telephone modalities.
About you
Recognised tertiary qualification in physiotherapy and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as eligible to practice.
Clinical experience working in community or hospital settings with chronic disease and orthopaedic populations.
Highly developed interpersonal, written and electronic communication skills.
Excellent organisational and time‑management skills.
Experience in student supervision.
Knowledge of and participation in continuous quality improvement processes.
