A great opportunity for a Grade 1/2 Physiotherapist to join our Physiotherapy team at Alfred Care Group, as a casual staff member.

Grade 1/2 Physiotherapist Classification (VA3 - VA7, VB1 - VB4)
The Department
Alfred Care Group’s Physiotherapy Department provides acute physiotherapy services to the patients of The Alfred and Sandringham Hospital, and subacute physiotherapy services to Caulfield Hospital. The acute service is organised into five functional streams: Intensive Care, Musculoskeletal, Respiratory, PAN (Progressive Illness, Aged Care and Neurosciences), and Sandringham. The first four streams are located at The Alfred site, with the latter based at the Sandringham site. The physiotherapy service provides acute clinical services and expertise in intensive care, cardiothoracic surgery, general surgery, orthopaedics, trauma, burns, lung transplantation, cystic fibrosis, pulmonary rehabilitation, neurology, neurosurgery, infectious diseases, haematology/oncology, general medicine, haemophilia and emergency.
The subacute physiotherapy service at Caulfield Hospital offers inpatient and ambulatory services in rehabilitation, health of older person, and residential care services. The department provides subacute clinical services and expertise in neurology, non-traumatic spinal cord injury, orthopaedics, amputees, burns, complex regional pain, cardiac rehabilitation, aged care, transitional care, and aged psychiatry. The subacute service is organised into four functional streams: Neurological Rehabilitation, Musculoskeletal Rehabilitation, Health of Older Persons (HOP), and ABI.
The Role
The Grade 1/2 Casual Physiotherapist is responsible for the ongoing development and provision of physiotherapy services to the designated clinical areas at the level of a developing expert. Work will occur in acute inpatient areas across the Alfred and/or Sandringham hospitals, and subacute fast and slow rehabilitation at Caulfield Hospital.
The position includes leadership, teamwork and communication responsibilities, and requires weekday (Monday‑Friday) availability.
Skills And Qualifications Required
Physiotherapists registered to practice in Victoria (via AHPRA)
Experience in public hospital acute and/or subacute settings
