Responsibilities
The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates, diagnoses, and treats communication and swallowing disorders across a diverse patient population.
Develops and implements individualized treatment plans to improve speech, language, and cognitive-communication abilities.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and caregivers to support patient outcomes.
Maintains documentation in the electronic medical record and monitors patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
Educates patients, families, and caregivers on communication strategies, home exercises, and safe swallowing practices.
Maintains a safe treatment environment by following infection control and safety guidelines and regulatory standards.
Participates in quality assurance and professional development activities.
Performs other duties within the scope of practice as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications
Valid Speech Language Pathologist License in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree or higher in Speech Language Pathology
Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology
Speech-Language Pathology experience; new grads are welcome to apply
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
