
Environmental Specialist

The Environmental Specialist supports environmental compliance and operational goals by assisting with manure management, irrigation systems, and overall site upkeep. This position is responsible for supporting regulatory compliance, proper waste handling, and supporting the appearance and functionality of farm facilities.
Responsibilities
Assist management in executing environmental compliance projects
Assist with and maintain bank‑mounted pumping systems
Conduct routine site inspections and complete required documentation accurately and on time
Identify and perform minor repairs and report issues to management
Collect environmental samples (water, soil, effluent) following proper procedures
Maintain and service environmental and irrigation equipment
Ensure farm sites are clean, organized, and meet company standards for site aesthetics
Maintain a clean and safe working environment at all times
Follow all biosecurity protocols without exception
Work independently or as part of a team to complete assigned tasks
Work flexible hours, including nights, as needed based on operational demands
Perform duties in various weather and environmental conditions
Requirements
Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
Strong organization and planning skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must have strong multitasking skills.
Experience with center pivot irrigation systems required.
Experience with bank‑mounted pumping systems preferred.
Ability to obtain a Public Drinking Water Operator Certification.
Willingness to complete 9‑hour LMFO training and maintain all required annual training.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting and repairs.
Ability to accurately complete paperwork and maintain records.
Implementation of company policies and procedures.
