
Pharmacy Technician - Dispensing 1st Shift

Position Summary
CVS Health has an exciting opportunity in Mount Prospect, IL for a Pharmacy Technician to be a part of our Mail Order Pharmacy team. The Pharmacy Technician is essential to ensuring patients receive their medications in a timely manner. You will work in a closed‑door pharmacy setting, helping to dispense medications manually, canister or channel fill for automated machines, and support the filing and operations of automated systems.
You will collaborate with a team of talented individuals under the direct supervision of Lead Technicians and Pharmacy Supervisors, aiming for high reliability, accuracy, professionalism, and problem‑solving.
Responsibilities
Fill all aspects of mail order prescriptions, including manual, canister, and channel fill for automated machines.
Work directly with medication and manage the filing or operations of automated machines.
Use a 10 keypad and lift up to 40 pounds; stand for 90-100% of shift.
Schedule
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday 6:15 am to 2:45 pm
Saturdays 7:30 am to 4:00 pm
Off: Thursday and Sundays
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Regular and predictable attendance
Mandatory overtime/extended work week when needed
Ability to stand for 90-100% of shift
Ability to reach, twist, turn, bend, stoop, walk, and lift up to 40 pounds
Willingness to apply for an Illinois Pharmacy Technician License
Pharmacy Technician Certification Exam successfully passed by December 31 of your 2nd IL Pharmacy Technician License renewal
Preferred Qualifications:
Formal Pharmacy Technician training
Pharmacy Technician experience
Certified Pharmacy Technician prior to 2024
Education
Verifiable High School Diploma, GED
Work Hours & Compensation
• Anticipated weekly hours: 40
• Time type: Full time
• Pay range: $17.00 – $31.30 per hour. The base pay will be based on experience, education, and geography.
