
Registered Nurse RN - Coordinator - Infusion

Position Purpose
Full‑Time Nurse Coordinator within the Infusion Clinic to support day‑to‑day operational issues and will serve as a unit resource and leader. The Infusion Clinic in Ann Arbor sees oncology and non‑oncology patients, averaging 650 patients per month and 1,200 distinct patient visits. An average of 70 patients are seen per day.
The Nurse Coordinator role is critical to the flow and success of the infusion clinic. Responsibilities include overseeing patient scheduling, reviewing treatment plans and lab results, ensuring patient appropriateness for treatment, assigning staff, and accommodating same‑day treatment requests. The coordinator will also act as a liaison between staff, providers, and other departments, collect metrics for the clinic, provide service recovery to patients and families, and advocate for patients and staff.
Full‑time position: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday. Shift is 8 hours with an ideal start time of 7:30 a.m. or 8:00 a.m.

Minimum Qualifications
Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing.
Experience: Minimum of three years staff experience with at least one year of related clinical practice.
Certification/Licensure: Current Michigan RN License.
What You Will Do
Lead and facilitate day‑to‑day operational issues and communication between nursing and other departments, maintaining ongoing dialogue with the Nurse Manager regarding unit operations.
Serve as the point person for information and problem‑solving for unit, medical, interdisciplinary staff, and volunteers.
Round daily to assess patient experience and quality of care.
Actively participate in or lead daily huddles.
Participate in patient care activities as needed and demonstrate RN competencies.
Demonstrate knowledge of unit budget and volume‑adjusted staffing models and actively support appropriate staffing decisions.
Provide formal feedback to staff through the SJMHS performance development process, interview, develop, and evaluate staff performance in collaboration with the Nurse Manager.
Promote an environment that supports remarkable patient care experience, role‑model clinical excellence, anticipate and address patient/family/visitor concerns in collaboration with caregivers and the nurse manager, and support purposeful hourly rounding.
Implement appropriate service recovery strategies and lead staff in new initiatives.
Coach, mentor, and support colleagues to be effective patient advocates; support staff in using crucial conversations to interact directly with other disciplines.
Collaborate with unit leadership to create a culture of safety that invites open and honest sharing of ideas and feedback.
Collaborate with unit leadership to achieve unit and organizational quality improvement and outcome‑based initiatives.
In collaboration with the Nurse Manager, hold staff accountable for compliance with SJM Hospitals clinical standards of care and policies and procedures.
