
STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN (FULL TIME)

Overview
We are hiring immediately for a full-time STERILE PROCESSING TECHNICIAN. Location: Cayuga Health Sterile Processing, 101 Dates Drive, Ithaca, NY 14850. Note: online applications accepted only.
Schedule: Full-time, 8:30 am to 5:00 pm. Days may vary. Further details upon interview.
Pay Range: $20.85 to $29.50 per hour.
Responsibilities
Maintains a sterile environment in the clean room by garbing, cleaning the room, and following clean room procedures aligned with facilities practices or guidelines.
Performs decontamination cleaning and project tasks within area of responsibility, with high consistency, accuracy, and reliability; executes cleanroom cleaning SOPs.
Maintains documentation on activities and conducts frequent quality control testing; verifies the efficiency of work performed.
Monitors and maintains stock of cleanroom garments and cleaning materials where applicable.
Monitors and manages contamination sources within the cleanroom environment, including materials and personnel.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
High School Diploma, GED preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1–2 years housekeeping or cleaning service experience preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to read and comprehend Standard Operating Procedure Documents (SOPs).
Work Environment
Exposure to chemicals on a constant basis requiring special clothing and/or safety equipment.
