Overview
Local specialty pharmacy is seeking a licensed Pharmacist to support specialty pharmacy operations on a 4-week contract basis. The ideal candidate brings strong clinical knowledge, attention to detail, and experience working in a specialty or complex-medication environment.
Responsibilities
Dispense and verify specialty medications in accordance with state and federal regulations
Perform drug utilization review and clinical screenings
Counsel patients on specialty drug therapies, adherence, and side effects
Collaborate with prescribers and care teams to manage patient outcomes
Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with pharmacy policies
Support prior authorization and insurance coordination as needed
Requirements
Specialty pharmacy experience preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Proficiency with pharmacy management software
