The ideal candidate will have experience or a strong interest in Breast Surgical Oncology and will work collaboratively under the supervision of our Breast Oncologists and other healthcare professionals to deliver high‑quality, patient‑centered care.

Advanced Practice Provider (PA/NP) – Breast Surgical Oncology
Location
Holy Cross Health, Fort Lauderdale, FL
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive Breast Oncology assessments including history, physical examinations, and interpretation of diagnostic studies.
Manage patients at high risk for breast cancer and benign breast conditions.
Evaluate and triage new patient referrals and follow‑up visits.
Order, draw, and interpret genetic testing and diagnostic imaging.
Develop and implement evidence‑based treatment plans with collaborating physicians.
Support Breast Surgeons in routine post‑operative management.
Provide patient education on disease surveillance, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
Assist with hospital rounding, consults, and discharge planning.
Participate in care coordination with other providers and specialties.
Document all patient encounters thoroughly and accurately in the Electronic Medical Record.
Maintain compliance with organizational policies, regulatory guidelines, and best practice standards.
Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner Program.
National Advanced Practice Registered Nurse Certification (APRN) OR national board certification as a Physician Assistant.
DEA License.
Current Physician Assistant or APRN license in the State of Florida.
BLS/ACLS certification.
Preferred Skills
Certification as an Advanced Oncology Certified Nurse Practitioner.
Experience with Epic Electronic Medical Record.
