The At Bat Summer Program is seeking passionate and dedicated ELA Teachers to provide instruction to students entering grades 1 through 8. A complete curriculum will be provided, allowing educators to focus on delivering engaging and effective lessons that support literacy growth. Teachers will work in a supportive, energetic environment that encourages creativity, relationship-building, and student achievement.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver age‑appropriate ELA instruction using the provided curriculum.
Support students in reading comprehension, writing, grammar, vocabulary, and oral expression.
Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment for students of varying grade levels.
Differentiate instruction to meet diverse academic and developmental needs.
Track student progress and offer meaningful feedback.
Collaborate with program staff and participate in planning meetings as needed.
Ensure student safety and maintain a structured learning space.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education, ELA, or related field required.
Valid teaching certification in ELA or elementary/middle grades education.
Experience teaching students in grades 1–8.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Ability to follow and adapt provided curriculum to student needs.
Enthusiastic, flexible, and committed to creating a fun learning experience.
Schedule & Compensation
Program runs from June 8, 2026 to July 31, 2026; hours are 9 am to 2 pm every Monday through Friday (except holidays).
Competitive pay based on experience and credentials.
$48 - $58 per hour

Deliver math instruction using the provided curriculum to students in grades 1–8.
Reinforce foundational math skills such as number sense, problem‑solving, operations, fractions, geometry, and pre‑algebra concepts based on grade level.

Create a supportive, engaging, and well‑managed classroom environment.
Monitor student understanding and provide feedback to support growth.
Work collaboratively with fellow educators and program staff to meet program goals.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in education, Mathematics, or a related field required.
Valid teaching certification in Math or elementary/middle grades education.
Experience teaching math to students in grades 1–8.
Strong instructional and classroom management skills.
Ability to implement provided curriculum with flexibility to adapt for student success.
Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and a passion for teaching.

The organization At Bat is seeking a passionate and dedicated Sports Coach to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various sports disciplines and a strong desire to educate and motivate individuals to achieve their fitness goals.
Responsibilities
Provide coaching and training in baseball and softball.
Develop personalized baseball or softball daily activities for students based on their age group.
Instruct individuals or groups on proper techniques and strategies in baseball or softball activities.
Monitor and evaluate students' progress to adjust training plans accordingly.
Ensure the safety of all participants during program sessions.
Collaborate with Project Coordinator to plan, implement and manage initiative from start to completion.
Qualifications
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Youth Baseball and/or Softball Coaching Skills or Basic Baseball/Softball Knowledge required.
Ability to motivate and inspire individuals to reach their full potential.
Able to work 11:30am to 4:30pm every Monday through Friday.
Salary
$21 - $24 per hour

Ensure all youth are accounted for each day, work with other staff members, interns and/or volunteers to resolve issues, and serve as a mentor to youth participants.
Responsibilities
Monitor performance and recommend a course of correction, if necessary.
Giving youth instructions, assisting youth with sporting activities, and provide additional support to struggling youth as needed.
Completing a daily incidents report and handling first aid emergencies as soon as possible.
Communicate with families about youth improvements and new skills they learned.
Clean‑up at the end of daily program.
Make sure all youth are signed in before the start of program activities; if youth are late ensure they are signed in before they go on the field.
Qualifications
Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills.
Able to work 11:30am to 4:30pm every Monday through Friday.
Previous experience working with youth ages six to 13.
Salary
$19 - $21 per hour
