
Patient Care Technician I - Part Time Days, 7am-7pm, 3 East Telemetry, Atlantic

Job Description: Responsible for assisting doctors and nursing staff in ensuring that the basic needs of each patient are met. Daily tasks may include feeding and cleaning the patient, monitoring vital signs, and supporting overall health.
Responsibilities
Assists patients with activities of daily living including bathing, feeding, and dressing
Obtains and records vital signs, weights, and heights
Assists patients with mobility: ambulation, transfers, discharges, and range‑of‑motion activities
Performs post‑mortem care
Performs EKGs, phlebotomy, and blood glucose monitoring
Observes and reports changes in patients’ condition to the RN
Maintains phlebotomy equipment and inventory
Other related duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required: HS Diploma or equivalent
Preferred: Strong interpersonal communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred: Patient, compassionate nature
Preferred: Ability to operate as part of a team, alongside physicians and nurses
Preferred: Proficiency in computer‑based data management programs and information systems
Preferred: Prior acute care experience
Preferred: BLS certification required within 3 months of hire
