
Medical Assistant Instructor Position Part Time (Day Schedule)

Role Description
This is a part‑time contract role for a Medical Assistant Instructor located on-site at our Bronx, NY campus. The Instructor will be responsible for teaching medical assistant courses, ekg/phlebotomy, preparing course materials, demonstrating medical procedures, and mentoring students to ensure they develop proficiency in medical assisting topics. Additional responsibilities include evaluating student performance, maintaining accurate records, and supporting student success in both classroom and hands‑on laboratory environments.
Current Class Schedule
M-Th 9am - 4pm (With a paid lunch hour from 12-1)
We are looking for an additional instructor for an additional schedule we are adding.
Responsibilities
Teach the approved BPSS curriculum
Keep immaculate records for each student
Work hand in hand with the Director of Education and the Director of Student Services
Provide compassionate education and understand not every student is at the same learning level
Qualifications
Proficient knowledge of Medical Assisting and experience in Medical Terminology
Familiarity with Medical Office procedures and technologies
Experience in Patient Care and managing Medical Records
Strong verbal communication and classroom instruction skills
Ability to mentor and inspire students in practical learning environments
Must have at least 4 year’s experience
Must have patience and work well with people
Must be computer savvy
Have an open schedule and be willing to pick up teaching shifts if necessary
NY BPSS Teachers License (If you do not have one you will be required to get one - which we will help you get)
Team player
This is a part‑time position however our last few part‑time hires have loved it so much they asked if we had availability for full time work. If you do become full time you will be entitled to health benefits (medical, dental, and vision), life insurance and have 401K options.
