
Apprentice Engineering Technician

HEICO Component Repair Group, a leading provider of FAA-approved aircraft component repair and overhaul services, is seeking a motivated Engineering Technician Apprentice to join our dynamic engineering team. This position provides hands‑on training in aircraft component maintenance, FAA regulatory compliance, and documentation.
In this position, the Engineering Technician Apprentice may be required to disassemble, clean, repair, re‑assemble, and test Aircraft Sub‑Components in accordance with approved data.

Key Responsibilities
Perform technical tasks related to the repair and overhaul of aircraft components
Read and interpret engineering drawings, maintenance manuals, and repair specifications
Participate in testing activities and assist with setup, operation, and data recording
Maintain records in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures
Follow safety protocols, quality standards, and regulatory requirements

Skills/Education & Experience
High school diploma or GED required
Ability to read, write, and comprehend English
Basic understanding of mechanical concepts
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings or willingness to learn how to do it
Strong attention to detail
Good communication and teamwork skills
Physical Demands
Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time
Must be able to lift up to 5 lbs.
Frequent use of hands for handling tools or small components
Occasional bending, crouching, and reaching
Ability to work in environments with varying noise levels, temperatures, and exposure to dust or chemicals
