Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Fire Sprinkler Fitter to provide installation services for various fire sprinkler systems and components. This position requires attention to detail in all aspects of fire sprinkler systems. The role involves installing new construction and retrofit projects, interpreting blueprints, and ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely. This is a contract‑to‑hire opportunity for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

Read and interpret blueprints to install prefabricated fire sprinkler piping.

Lead the installation of new construction, retrofits, and tenant improvement projects.

Cut, thread, and groove pipe to specifications using tools such as saws and pipe threaders.

Coordinate with various contractors and trades to resolve conflicts in the field.

Manage job scheduling and progress in an efficient and cost‑effective manner.

Provide support, guidance, and expertise to other field installers.

Conduct inspections and interact with the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).

Understand the full scope of work and identify any changes or additions.

Required Qualifications

Experience: A minimum of two years of hands‑on experience as a Fire Sprinkler Fitter or Foreman. Experience with plumbing may be considered.

Technical Skills: Proficiency in using a band saw, cutting thread rod, and reading blueprints. Familiarity with grooved couplings, pipe wrenches, and laying out systems. Experience with threading on a pipe machine is also required.

Preferred Qualifications

A completed Sprinkler Apprenticeship program.

Strong working knowledge of wet, dry, and pre‑action systems, as well as backflows and fire pumps.

NICET II certification.

Experience with the installation of underground piping.

Certification in backflow inspection and repair.

Compensation & Benefits
The anticipated pay rate for this position is between $25.00 and $30.00 per hour, negotiable for the right candidate. Upon conversion to a permanent role, a comprehensive benefits package is available.
