At New York-Presbyterian, our Physical Therapists use advanced technology and best-practice techniques to restore and maximize patient mobility and function. We provide one‑on‑one therapies that are tailored to meet the individual needs of our patients. Our facilities include state‑of‑the‑art exercise equipment, private and open treatment space, and up‑to‑date technologies such as Bioness L‑300 Go, balance and vestibular equipment, and strength and conditioning equipment.
Physical Therapist – Outpatient – Orthopedic and Neurological Rehabilitation
This is a rotating full‑time position. The role begins in the outpatient department treating clients with orthopedic, geriatric, neurological, and vestibular conditions. Experience with neurological and vestibular rehabilitation is preferred. Hours are Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:30 pm with intermittent weekend and holiday coverage. The position may include future rotations to other areas.
Preferred Criteria
Experience treating a variety of vestibular conditions in adult and/or neurological populations
Experience with treating a variety of orthopedic populations including experience with post‑operative protocols
Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy
APTA Neurological Clinical Specialist certification
APTA co‑sponsored competency‑based course series in Vestibular Rehabilitation
Required Criteria
Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy
Current NYS PT licensure
Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification
Salary Range: $55.58‑$65.84 per hour.
