Position Details
Position: Occupational Therapist
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, general business hours (40 hours/week)
Additional Coverage: Occasional evenings and weekends as needed
Travel: None required
Compensation: Commensurate with experience
Position Overview
The Occupational Therapist evaluates, plans, and implements individualized treatment programs to help patients restore function, improve mobility, and achieve greater independence in daily living activities. This role works collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to deliver patient-centered, evidence-based care.
Key Responsibilities
Evaluate patients’ functional abilities, including activities of daily living (ADLs)
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals
Provide therapeutic interventions to support rehabilitation and recovery
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, adaptive strategies, and equipment use
Design and recommend adaptive equipment and modifications to enhance independence
Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and interdisciplinary care teams
Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with regulatory standards
Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as appropriate
Minimum Qualifications
Licensure: Current Occupational Therapist license in North Carolina
Certification: Current CPR certification
Education: Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program (preferred)
Core Competencies
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to build rapport with patients and familiesCritical thinking and problem-solving abilities
Commitment to patient-centered, compassionate care
Knowledge of medical terminology and rehabilitation practices
Employment Requirements
Compliance with all health and safety requirements, including vaccination policies (approved exemptions considered)
Successful completion of a criminal background check and pre-employment drug screening (post-offer)
