As a key member of our clinical laboratory, you are responsible for providing highly skilled analysis of blood, fluids, and tissue samples. You take smears of cell samples, stain samples, and place smears on slides.
Responsibilities
Determine normal and abnormal components of body fluids by conducting chemical analyses of blood, urine, spinal fluids, and gastric juices.
Analyze blood cells by counting and identifying cells, using microscopic techniques and procedures.
Ensure operation of analyzers and all laboratory equipment.
Position Hours
32 hours, Day Shift, every 3rd weekend & rotating holidays.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology from an accredited college/university or Associate’s Degree in an MLT certification program.
MT, MLS or MLT-ASCP or equivalent level certification by one of the professional societies, or eligible to obtain certification within the first year of employment.
Prior experience preferred in one or more of the following areas: Blood Bank, Microbiology, Bacteriology, Virology, Parasitology, Mycology, Mycobacteriology, Immunology, Molecular Diagnostics, Core Lab, Hematology, Coagulation, Routine Chemistry, Urinalysis, Special Chemistry.
Authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; no employment visa sponsorship.
Pay Range
$30.10 - $48.15 per hour. Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
