Dietitian – Providence Newberg Medical Center (Part-Time, 24hrs/day schedule)

The Dietitian works closely with the departmental and interdisciplinary care team to provide integrated and patient-centered nutrition care. The role utilizes the Nutrition Care Process and Terminology (NCPT) to assess nutrition status, identify nutrition diagnoses (including malnutrition), perform a nutrition-focused physical examination, interpret results, order nutrition and diet orders, design and implement nutrition care plans, and monitor and evaluate outcomes for patients at nutrition risk or malnourished. The position also provides medical nutrition therapy to patients, families and the community.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Dietetics, Foods and Nutrition, or related area from a U.S. regionally accredited college or university, or foreign equivalent.
Master's Degree.
Completion of required dietetics coursework and supervised practice through a Didactic Program in Dietetics, Dietetic Internship or Coordinated Program in Dietetics accredited by the Accreditation Council for Education in Nutrition and Dietetics (ACEND).
Upon hire: National CDR Registered Dietitian – Commission on Dietetic Registration.
Within 6 months of hire: Oregon Dietitian License.
Within 6 months of hire: May require additional state Dietitian License.
1 year experience with adult learning theory in nutrition education.
1 year experience with nutrition management of multiple disease states.
Preferred Qualifications
1 year experience managing nutrition in a clinical setting.
1 year experience providing medical nutrition therapy.
