Overview
Centra Healthcare Allied is seeking a Travel Speech Language Pathologist for a 13‑week assignment in Live Oak, California. The position is a full‑time, 40‑hour per week travel assignment requiring an SLP‑CCC.
Responsibilities
The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will assess and treat referred patients with speech, hearing, and language deficits. Responsibilities include:
Conducting assessments of patients’ speech, language, and swallowing functions.
Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans based on physician orders.
Teaching patients strategies to improve sound production, voice quality, oral and written language, and safe swallowing.
Working within an interdisciplinary team to develop patient plans of care.
Setting realistic goals to help patients recover or maintain communication and swallowing skills.
Qualifications
Required qualifications:
Graduated from an accredited speech‑language pathology program.
Current state license as an SLP or in the process of obtaining licensure.
Current CPR certification.
Candidate must hold an SLP‑CCC.
