Position Overview
Under general supervision of the Parking Manager/Supervisor, the Parking Representative will perform a variety of job functions within the Transportation Department. Responsibilities include valet, customer service ambassador, garage rover, traffic director, and parking enforcement officer. The Parking Representative will act in accordance with departmental procedures and standards set forth in the Transportation Department Operations manual, and will also serve as an ambassador and/or greeter for Transportation programs and services. Must be willing to work at any assigned UCSF location on short notice and be able to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

Valet duties.

Customer service ambassador.

Garage rover.

Traffic director.

Parking enforcement officer.

Act in accordance with departmental procedures and standards for daily operations.

Serve as ambassador and/or greeter for Transportation programs and services as needed.

Qualifications

High School diploma/GED or equivalent education and work experience.

Minimum of 2-year valet and/or related parking industry work experience.

Valid California Driver’s License with an excellent driving record; no license restrictions other than for corrective lenses. Applicants must present a current copy of their DMV record with their application/resume (Class C with CA DMV Driving Record Report).

Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly and effectively.

Ability to operate manual, automatic, and electric vehicles in and out of tight parking spaces quickly and efficiently.

Basic computer skills for valet operations administrative duties.

Perform basic mathematical calculations.

Demonstrated ability to work in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner with the public, faculty, staff, and co-workers and to function well under periods of stress.

Demonstrated record of exceptional attendance, punctuality, and excellent customer service.

Act in accordance with organizational policies, procedures, and standards.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in customer service.

Experience working in a health or medical center related environment.

Salary Information
The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy. Placement within the salary range depends on work experience and internal equity for this position. For positions represented by a labor union, placement is guided by the collective bargaining agreement.
