Program Manager V
The Program Manager V supports the Executive Director of Impact & Partnerships by turning strategy into action across a portfolio of complex, cross‑functional initiatives. The portfolio includes launching new partnerships and service models that support community and clinical goals, strengthening learning and evaluation, and improving how data and insights guide decisions. The role coordinates teams across clinical, operational, research, data, and administrative groups; builds clear workplans and timelines; and ensures roles, processes, and governance structures are defined and followed. By keeping multiple efforts aligned, the Program Manager enables new ideas and programs to be implemented smoothly and scaled effectively.

Job Responsibilities
Portfolio Execution & Planning

Manage execution across a portfolio of cross‑functional initiatives spanning new partnerships, program launches, evaluation and learning, and data analytics.

Translate strategy into clear workplans, timelines, and deliverables.

Cross‑Functional Alignment & Governance

Coordinate across clinical, operational, data, and administrative teams; clarify roles, responsibilities, and decision points.

Implementation & Risk Management

Monitor progress, manage dependencies and risks, and elevate issues to ensure initiatives are delivered effectively and on track.

Job Summary
Manages large‑scale programs or components with multiple workstreams and strategic business goals across departments, functions, or regions. Has responsibility and accountability for achieving program outcomes from initiation to close‑out. Leads large program teams, coordinates and monitors internal and/or external resources, proactively monitors and mitigates risks, ensures compliance with policies and procedures, engages stakeholders, reviews vendor performance, and participates in contract negotiations.

Essential Responsibilities

Promotes learning in others by communicating information and providing advice to drive projects forward; builds relationships with cross‑functional stakeholders. Provides feedback upward and mentors junior team members. Self‑leadership, adapts to change, and models collaboration.

Conducts or oversees business‑specific projects applying deep subject‑area expertise; partners internally and externally to make effective decisions; solves complex problems; escalates high‑priority issues; develops work plans; coordinates and delegates resources.

Manages large‑scale programs with multiple workstreams, strategic goals, and extended time frames. Develops and manages complex program plans covering scope, schedule, dependencies, and resources. Manages program financials. Monitors performance and adjusts in changing environments. Leads change management activities such as user adoption, implementation, and training plans.

Leads program teams, communicates vision, and delivers performance feedback.

Proactively monitors, identifies, and mitigates program risks, issues, and trigger events; resolves or escalates as appropriate.

Ensures adherence to policies and procedures across program activities.

Builds and maintains stakeholder relationships, provides insight, develops goals, prioritizes deliverables, facilitates decisions, and communicates tough issues while maintaining an independent opinion. Provides recommendations, delivers formal presentations, and reports to senior audiences.

Reviews vendor performance, partners with Procurement and Legal to develop agreements, negotiates contracts, and reviews program invoices.

Minimum Qualifications

Minimum three (3) years experience in a leadership role with or without direct reports.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and minimum eight (8) years experience in project management or a directly related field, including minimum four (4) years program management experience, OR minimum eleven (11) years experience in project management or a directly related field including minimum four (4) years program management experience.

Preferred Qualifications

Four (4) years of experience working with pharmacy and benefits operations.

Four (4) years of experience working in physician HR strategic consulting.
