Travel Cath Lab Technologist
TNAA TotalMed Allied is recruiting for a travel Cath Lab Technologist position in Chicago, Illinois.
Overview
This role involves assisting physicians and supporting cardiac catheterization procedures in a dedicated Cath Lab environment. The assignment will last 13 weeks, starting May 25, 2026, with 40 hours per week.
Responsibilities
Prepare and maintain cath lab procedure rooms, ensuring adequate stock, instrument sterilization, and equipment readiness.
Set up patients and equipment, including entry site preparation, patient draping, sterilized instrument arrangement, and calibration of pressure transducers and tubing.
Operate and ensure quality control of all cath lab equipment and related instruments.
Scrub in during procedures and assist physicians with catheter manipulation.
Collect and record hemodynamic, electrical, and angiographic data using amplifiers and fluoroscopic equipment.
Monitor patient hemodynamics throughout procedures.
Participate in life‑saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
Stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for extended periods as required by the job.
Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of experience as a Cath Lab Radiologist or Technologist.
Board certification or registration: BLS, ACLS, ARRT (R) –CI preferred or CCI‑RCIS; state licensing as required.
Strong knowledge of cardiac catheterization equipment and procedures.
Ability to work 10‑hour days, 40 hours per week, for 13 weeks.
Compensation
Pay package is based on 10‑hour shifts; total compensation will be tax‑free and confirmed upon assignment.
