Position Overview
The Financial Paraplanner is responsible for supporting the lead Financial Advisor in client meetings (crafting financial plans, preparing agendas, documenting meeting notes, fulfilling service requests), and managing correspondence while promoting operational efficiency across the organization as a whole.
This is a client‑facing support role in an office where all staff support and service a single book‑of‑business. There are no business development or sales requirements associated with this position.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in the financial service industry (insurance, wealth management, banking) or a four‑year degree in a related field of study.
Key Responsibilities
Triage and respond to client requests in a timely manner
Craft financial plans, investment proposals and recommendations
Utilize financial planning, investment research and reporting software
Assist with client meeting preparation by generating agendas and forms in advance
Lead client meetings independently once fully trained
Document client interactions, identify and assign follow‑up tasks as needed
Collaborate with team members on various projects to achieve collective goals
Adapt to changing roles and responsibilities as needed in a small business environment
Go above and beyond to nurture client relationships
Ideal Candidates
Have a professional background in financial services or a related industry
Are approachable and confident engaging with clients one‑on‑one
