Position Purpose
The registered nurse is a professional caregiver who specializes in assisting with invasive cardiac procedures and other procedures performed in the Cardiac Cath Lab. The Registered Nurse assumes responsibility / accountability for patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via the nursing process, environment / instrumentation and other health care team members.
Experience / Specialized Skills / Aptitudes
One year (1) critical care staff experience required or previous Cath Lab/Special Procedures experience required. Clinical nursing skills, teaching/instructional skills, empathy and understanding, safety conscious, clerical accuracy, astute to patient conditions/changes/reactions.
Licenses / Certificates
Current PA Registered Nurse license
BLS and ACLS required and must be completed by end of orientation period
