Overview
Staff RN - Labor & Delivery. We are seeking a Labor and Delivery RN, also referred to as a Labor & Delivery Nurse (L&D RN) or Delivery Room RN. This position is a per diem (PD/PRN) role, available as needed.
Employment Details
Shift: Variable and Days. Employment type: Per Diem (PD/PRN). Hours: Variable. Location: Knapp Medical Center - Weslaco, TX.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive care to mothers and newborns before, during, and immediately after childbirth. Tasks include monitoring vital signs, administering medications, assisting with deliveries, performing clinical duties, ensuring patient safety, educating families, and coordinating with the healthcare team to respond to routine and emergency situations.

Qualifications
Current and valid state RN License.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree preferred.
BLS certification within 30 days and maintain current.
ACLS certification within 90 days and maintain current.
NRP certification within 90 days and maintain current.
Basic fetal monitoring within 60 days of hire and maintain current.
AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certificate within 12 months.
AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring certificate preferred.
Experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D) required.
