Responsibilities
The Physical Therapist evaluates, diagnoses, and treats patients with physical impairments to improve mobility, reduce pain, and enhance quality of life.
Develop personalized rehabilitation programs based on assessment findings and patient goals.
Implement treatment plans using various techniques to improve mobility and reduce pain.
Operate and maintain physical therapy equipment safely and effectively.
Assess patient progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and document evaluations, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.
Educate patients and caregivers on home exercise programs, body mechanics, injury prevention, and self-management techniques.
Maintain a safe treatment environment by adhering to infection control and safety standards.
Participate in quality assurance and professional development activities.
Support discharge planning to ensure smooth transitions in community or home-based settings.
Perform other duties as assigned within scope of practice.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapy license in compliance with state regulations
Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC)
Preferred Qualifications:
Doctorate degree in physical therapy
Physical therapy experience; new grads are welcome to apply
Other certifications or licenses may be required for this position
