Nursing Students! Are you looking for an opportunity to improve your critical thinking and fundamental skills? Join MedStar Georgetown University Hospital for our Summer 2026 Student Nurse Extern Cohort.
The Nurse Extern Summer 2026 Cohort will begin on June 1, 2026 and will run for 8 weeks. You will be working 36 to 40 hours per week. After successful completion of the cohort, you may be invited to remain on staff in a flexible position leading up to graduation.
Qualifications
Current enrollment as a senior nursing student in an accredited Nursing program and in good standing.
Successful completion of 1 year of a clinical nursing program, including nursing fundamentals.
GPA of 3.0 or higher.
Experience
None
Certification/Registration/Licensure
Current Basic Life Support certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) required.
Compensation: USD $20.12 per hour.
