Setting: Short Term Acute Care Hospital ICU/PCU hybrid
Responsibilities
Provide direct patient care for critically ill adult patients in an ICU/PCU hybrid environment, including monitoring and intervening for deteriorating conditions.
Manage complex technologies and therapies, including vasoactive infusions, ventilators, and invasive monitoring; experience with balloon pump, CRRT, Impella, and open-heart procedures is required for night shifts.
Draw and process own lab specimens; manage PICC lines; participate in rapid response and code events as needed.
Float to PCU/CCU and other inpatient units (medical, surgical, telemetry, ED) per unit needs and prior experience.
Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and multidisciplinary teams; participate in rounds and ensure timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record.
Requirements
License: KS RN or Compact RN license; BLS, ACLS, and NIHF certifications are required.
Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent ICU/CCU experience.
Skills: Experience with balloon pump, CRRT, Impella, open-heart procedures; able to draw own labs; PICC experience; comfortable conducting own codes; able to work independently for consults.
Setting: Ability to float to PCU/CCU and all inpatient units as needed.
