Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (FL)
Our client, a growing pediatric healthcare organization, is currently seeking a Pediatric Nurse Practitioner to join their team. This individual will be responsible for providing high-quality, compassionate care to pediatric patients across a collaborative clinical setting, while supporting families and working closely with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Provide primary and/or specialty care to pediatric patients from infancy through adolescence
Perform patient assessments, obtain medical histories, and conduct physical examinations
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions within scope of practice
Order, interpret, and evaluate diagnostic tests and laboratory results
Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with supervising physicians and care teams as appropriate
Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations and clinical protocols
Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care
Document all patient encounters accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, medical assistants, and administrative staff to ensure continuity of care
Support a positive patient experience through compassionate, high-quality care and communication
Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical protocols, and continuing education as needed
Qualifications
Master’s or Doctorate degree from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program
Active Florida Nurse Practitioner license
CPR/BLS certification
Previous experience in pediatrics, pediatric primary care, urgent care, or outpatient pediatrics
Experience working with infants, children, and adolescents across a broad range of clinical needs
Familiarity with EMR systems and clinical documentation best practices
Passionate about pediatric patient care
Warm, family-centered, and collaborative in approach
Strong clinical assessment and decision‑making skills
Salary for this role ranges from $115k-130k, depending on experience.
