Triage Clinician: 2nd Shift, Thurs-Sat

Job Overview
We are seeking a Triage Clinician to work the 2nd shift on a part‑time basis within our mobile crisis intervention team in Milford, MA. The role requires a master’s level clinician who will triage calls, determine appropriate placement, and coordinate services for individuals with mental health and/or substance use concerns.

Responsibilities

Serve as the primary responder to all incoming MCI calls, using clinical and administrative judgment to triage the call.

Arrange for assessments on site or in the community and organize transportation as needed.

Secure placements in detox units, inpatient units, and diversionary levels of care, coordinating transfers of clients to these facilities.

Assess mental health and substance‑use presentations to triage cases independently.

Work under pressure in a fast‑paced, ever‑changing environment while collaborating and liaising with stakeholders and providers.

Assist in providing telephonic support to individuals in crisis while assessing the need for a clinical intervention.

Schedule
Part‑time, 24 hours per week: Thursday – Saturday, 4 pm to 12 am.

Pay Rate

Unlicensed Clinician – $35.69/hr

Independent Licensure – $38.25/hr

Additional hourly differentials: $1 for second shift (evenings), $2 for third shift (overnights), and $1 for weekend shifts.

Required Skills

Highly organized, detail‑oriented, flexible, reliable, responsible, and friendly.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem‑solving, and computer skills (including Microsoft Office).

Interim computer fluency, including Microsoft Office.

Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle.

Required Experience

Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, or another related human service field.

Two years’ experience in mental health settings preferred (internship experience counts).

At least one year of experience working with children, adolescents, and families for those providing mobile crisis services to youth under 21.

Knowledge and experience with substance use and co‑occurring disorders preferred.
