Overview
Global Medical Response (GMR) is an authorized provider of the Department of Defense SkillBridge program, offering active‑duty U.S. military members an opportunity to gain civilian work experience in the medical response industry through training and internships. The Aviation Inventory Control Coordinator will be responsible for inventory, logistics, and support functions across GMR Air Business units, maintaining inventory accuracy, overseeing cycle counts, and contributing to process improvements.

Scope
The Aviation Inventory Control Coordinator reports to the Supply Chain Logistics Manager and works closely with Purchasing, Accounting, Safety and Quality, Maintenance, and other GMR Air Business Units to ensure accurate and timely inventory management.

Responsibilities

Receive, verify, and document incoming aviation parts within the system to meet Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and industry requirements.

Work with Supply Chain Leadership and quality to continually improve parts receiving, storage, and picking processes.

Provide inventory support to satellite facilities (RMO) and supervise material movement, racking layouts, labeling, and stocking methods.

Assist with shipping support for all delivery and shipments when needed.

Supervise Inventory Control Clerks, ensuring efficient operations with high safety and excellence standards.

Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories while maintaining accurate records.

Analyze and correct inventory discrepancies, approving preventive actions.

Review part usage data to determine stocking levels for RMO and field support.

Measure and report key performance indicators (KPIs), recommending improvement areas to management.

Create and maintain system data for individual and kit part numbers to meet usage demands.

Maintain open communication lines with all departments and resolve issues quickly.

Develop, train, coach, and motivate a cohesive team; enforce cleanliness and 6S standards in storage locations.

Perform other duties assigned by the leadership team.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

High level of accuracy in data entry and inventory management.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for interfacing with senior executives.

Decision‑making, organizational, and written communication abilities.

Expert‑level computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Capacity to multitask, resolve conflicts, and manage competing priorities.

Ability to work independently and in a team under pressure and meet deadlines.

Strong initiative and ability to lead improvement projects.

Experience Requirements

Two years of experience with supply chain concepts.

Advanced computer skills, preferably experience with computer‑based inventory tracking systems.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Aviation industry experience preferred.

Physical Demands

Extended periods spent in front of a computer.

Ability to sit or stand for long periods.

Tolerance of loud noises for extended periods.

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
