What you will be doing as a Senior Internal Auditor…

Lead independent audits and special projects, providing oversight and guidance to team members throughout various stages of the audit process.

Ensure adherence to industry standards and regulatory requirements by conducting thorough research on relevant rules and regulations affecting audit areas.

Document comprehensive audit findings, identifying deficiencies and areas for improvement while maintaining clarity and conciseness in reporting.

Refine and organize essential materials to facilitate the production of thorough and effective audit reports.

Collaborate closely with the Director to review audit reports and supporting documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness before dissemination.

Facilitate discussions with management regarding audit procedures and findings, offering insights and recommendations for improvement.

Play a key role in staff development by assisting in training sessions and contributing to the preparation of performance evaluations for assigned audit personnel.

What you need to bring to the table as a Senior Internal Auditor….

7+ years of related experience

Bachelor's degree in accounting

CPA or CIA certification

Non-profit experience is a plus

Prepare reports and statements for senior stakeholders, including audit leadership and board-level committees

Take ownership of assigned international locations, including risk assessments, audit planning, and stakeholder management

Identify and assess emerging risks across financial crime, business conduct, and other evolving areas

Participate in special investigations, audits, and cross-functional projects

Serve as a subject matter expert within the audit function

Requirements

Minimum of 5 years experience in banking audit (internal or external), including lead auditor responsibilities

Relevant education in banking, finance, or business; professional certifications such as CIA, CFA, or equivalent preferred

Certified public accountant qualification is an advantage

Strong analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and assess complex issues

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Ability to work independently with a hands‑on and accountable approach

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with core banking systems is a plus

Willingness to travel internationally on a regular basis

Fluency in English; additional languages are advantageous
