Investment Banking Associate
The base pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be $175K per year (see below footnote for additional compensation and benefits information).

Nomura Greentech is a fully integrated investment banking team within Nomura which provides M&A advisory and capital formation services for sustainable technology and infrastructure clients, globally. The team focuses exclusively on clients which are using technology to accelerate the transformation of core infrastructure systems energy, transportation, food, water and waste to be lower carbon, more efficient and digitally networked.
As an Associate, you will be working directly with Managing Directors, Executive Directors, Vice Presidents, and Analysts on servicing and executing client transactions. Within Nomura Greentech, Associates play a crucial role in deal execution, and this is a unique opportunity to gain accelerated responsibility and client exposure immediately.
Role description:
Deal Execution: Work closely with clients and deal teams on live transactions, including mergers & acquisitions, divestitures, capital raisings, financings, and derivative transactions
Client Relationship Management: Produce and present ideas at client meetings as a member of a deal team alongside senior bankers; Nomura Greentech senior bankers take an active approach to ensure associate-level involvement in client meetings and broader coverage
Strategic Analysis: Through financial, structural, and business risk analysis, support transactions and client presentations
New Business Development: Actively participate in covering clients, leveraging proprietary content and generating value-additive ideas
Team Management and Development: Manage analysts to execute deliverables for clients and support the training and mentoring of junior professionals; associates play a key role in junior team development
Skills, experience, qualifications and knowledge required:
Outstanding academic qualifications; strong GPA
Prior investment banking experience; bulge bracket or boutique program training a plus
Passion for the business opportunities created by sustainable infrastructure, technology, and industrial disruption
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Series 79 and 63, or willingness to sit for the exams required
