The Yard Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the yard to ensure efficient, safe, and organized handling of materials, equipment, and vehicles. This position is responsible for coordinating activities among yard staff, managing inventory flow, and maintaining compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The Yard Supervisor acts as the primary point of contact for resolving operational issues and optimizing yard processes to support overall business objectives. They lead by example, fostering a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement within the yard environment. Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in yard operations, logistics, or a related supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in yard or warehouse environments.
Ability to read and interpret inventory and shipping documentation.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Preferred Qualifications:
Associate degree or higher in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Experience with yard management software or inventory control systems.
Certification in forklift operation or other relevant equipment.
Demonstrated leadership experience in a fast-paced industrial or logistics setting.
Familiarity with OSHA regulations and environmental compliance standards.

Train, mentor, and evaluate yard staff performance, providing guidance and support to promote professional development.

Prepare and submit reports on yard activities, incidents, and performance metrics to management.
