Financial Services Representative
To assist members with all financial needs. To provide excellent service to members while promoting CU product features and benefits to potential and current membership. To assist branch leader with reaching all sales goals set for the branch. To be a sales leader flexible to move among branches as needed.
Essential Functions and Basic Duties
1. Greet and welcome members to the credit union in a courteous, professional and timely manner, providing prompt, excellent service and accurate member transactions.
2. Interviews potential loan and new member applicants to collect and enter loan information and uncover any additional needs.
3. Assist with ongoing marketing campaigns and sales promotions within the branch to increase sales volume.
4. Seek additional opportunities to service each member financial during the member interaction.
5. Up sell additional credit union products to members during account opening.
6. Up sell additional credit union products to members during loan application process.
7. Assist management with tracking of teller referrals for sales accuracy.
8. Promote and explain other CU services such as IRAs, certificates of deposits, credit cards, ancillary products, and safe deposit boxes.
9. Cross train in Assistant Branch Manager role.
10. Assist in teller area as needed, processing member transactions including but not limited to deposits, withdrawals, transfers, money orders, cashiers' checks and loan payments.
11. All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education/Certification: High school graduate or equivalent. Some college preferred.
Required Knowledge: Knowledge of Credit Union policies and procedures. Thorough knowledge of Credit Union products and services.
Required Experience: Three years experience in financial institution/lending and/or sales environment.
Skills/Abilities: Strong communication skills, organization skills, ability to operate related computer applications and related business equipment, strong attention to detail, ability to multitask & meet deadlines.
Work Environment: Work is generally carried out in a typical open office setting.
Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit at a desk and in meetings for long periods of time on a continuous basis; intermittently twist to reach equipment surrounding desk; perform simple grasping and fine manipulation with fingers; reach with hands and arms; use a telephone or other electronic communication devices; stand for long periods of times at counter, printers; communicate orally and through written means; use standard office equipment such as computers, printers; write or use a keyboard to perform assigned duties; bend, squat, climb, kneel and twist while checking equipment; occasionally stand and/or walk over both even and uneven ground; occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds; hearing and vision within normal ranges with or without correction.
