Sr ETL Developer
Hybrid 3 days onsite DT Austin

Long term contract
Performs highly advanced (senior-level) ETL development work on a Data Conversion Project. Multi-year project to convert data from legacy PeopleSoft system to a cloud solution. The ETL development work will be extracting data from an Oracle database and transforming/loading it to an in-house SQL Server database. Extensive T-SQL skills will be key to the process.
Essential Functions
Performs advanced ETL development work on data primarily residing in SQL Server
Translates rules provided by PeopleSoft developers (Oracle based) into efficient T-SQL scripts to load data into the target database on SQL Server
Troubleshoots, supports and maintains the ETL processes developed by the team
Designs, deploys, and manages standardized, centralized data sources
Helps to establish best practices for development, testing, migration and error handling of the ETL activities
Performs other duties as assigned
May interact with outside vendors

Communicates respectfully and works harmoniously with all co-workers, customers, and vendors

Qualification Requirements
Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or related business field
7+ years of hands on experience in T-SQL and SSIS/SSMS development
7+ years of hands on experience in ETL development
7+ years of hands on experience moving and manipulating large data sets
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in health/life insurance, accounting and financials, or investment data related activities
Experience with data tools (Visual Studio, SSIS, MS SQL)
Experience with Azure
Experience with Agile iterations
Experience with ERP applications
