Supply Chain Coordinators
for one of our parts/tool manufacturing clients in Livonia, MI. This is a
Contract-to-Hire
role.
Shift:
1 st 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday through Friday
Pay Range : 70k to 85k, per level of experience
Summary:
Primary responsibility for the Supply Chain Coordinator is to support customer orders and internal operations by managing materials, purchasing/sourcing, and using various tools/systems (i.e., ERP, MRP, etc) for daily operations. SCC ensures that timely procurement, cost-effectiveness, and quality are maintained with all suppliers.
Ideal candidates are proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing cost and quality to meet business needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Source and purchase materials, components, and services for projects, customer demands, and project requirements
Track, manage, and issue orders, verify pricing, fulfilment terms, and delivery deadlines
Maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure cost competitiveness, quality, and reliability
Support with cost-saving measures and operational effectiveness by negotiating pricing with suppliers, analyzing purchasing data, supplier performance, and trends
Expedite and track orders for timely delivery to decrease disruption
Utilize ERP/MRP systems to maintain accurate purchasing data (pricing, lead times, order quantities, etc.)
ssist with cycle counting, monitoring inventory levels, and maintaining stock to meet customer demands
Communicate/ identify potential material shortages and propose solutions
Support new products/engineering changes by sourcing and procuring needed materials
Collaborate with engineering, operations, and sales teams to project timelines and support customers
Qualifications:
ssociate's Degree/Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations, or Business Administration, preferred -or-
2 + years of work experience in related fields (i.e., manufacturing planner/buying/ supply coordination)
Background within a manufacturing environment
Certifications in APICS, CPIM, or CSCP are a plus!
5+ years of utilizing ERP/MRP systems (i.e., SAP, Acumatica, NetSuite, etc.)
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other applications, preferred
Proficient in managing vendor data, reviewing purchasing trends, and implementing cost control measures by using tools and systems
Familiar with lean manufacturing principles and just-in-time (JIT) purchasing practices, preferred
