About the Role

The Company is seeking an Interim Director for a combined medical-surgical, telemetry, and dialysis unit. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing leadership and operational oversight, managing the daily operations of the unit, supporting assistant directors, ensuring quality patient care, and maintaining staff engagement and accountability. This role requires a leader with a strong background in dialysis services, a transformational leadership style, and the ability to build relationships within a labor union setting. The Interim Director will oversee a team of approximately seventy FTEs and must be highly organized, patient-focused, and able to adapt quickly to changing needs.

Applicants for the Interim Director position must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with a Master’s degree preferred, and an active NY RN license. Progressive leadership experience in med/surg and dialysis settings is essential, with prior experience in a union environment being a plus. The role demands an individual with excellent communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a dynamic urban environment, and a commitment to upholding the values of the organization. The Interim Director will play a critical role in the community, contributing to the vibrant and diverse healthcare landscape of the area.
