About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President for Fund Accounting to lead and ensure the integrity of fund accounting operations for private equity strategies. The successful candidate will be responsible for supervising accounting managers, overseeing monthly portfolio closing processes, and reviewing financial statements to ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley requirements. This role involves driving continuous improvement in accounting processes, mentoring staff, and collaborating with various teams on ad-hoc reporting needs.
Applicants must have a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a minimum of 12 years' experience in fund accounting or financial management. A preference is given to those with 14 years' experience in private equity or investment fund accounting. Proficiency in U.S. GAAP and Sarbanes-Oxley compliance standards is essential, as is a strong background in financial statement preparation and performance analysis. The role requires excellent leadership, team management, communication, and collaboration skills, particularly in hybrid work environments. The Vice President will also be expected to research and apply technical accounting guidance and drive the implementation of new standards.
