About the Role

The Company is in need of an Interim Chief Financial Officer (CFO) consultant with a strong background in nonprofit healthcare, particularly in the FQHC environment. The successful candidate will serve as a senior financial advisor, providing strategic finance leadership and accounting oversight during a period of audit activity, operational complexity, and leadership transition. Key responsibilities include directing the organization's audit efforts, overseeing core accounting functions, and building and maintaining financial models to support expansion initiatives. The CFO consultant will also be involved in analyzing the revenue cycle, creating financial indicators for decision-making, and partnering with operational leaders on financial strategies.

Applicants for the Interim CFO consultant role at the company should have previous experience as a CFO, interim CFO, or senior finance executive in a nonprofit healthcare setting, with a focus on FQHC. Strong knowledge of healthcare finance, including audit support, reimbursement structures, and cost analysis, is essential. The role requires a candidate who can balance executive-level strategy with hands-on involvement in finance operations, and who is adept at communicating financial findings to executive stakeholders and Board-level audiences. Experience in leading finance organizations through various activities, such as audits and organizational expansion, is also necessary. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a resource-constrained environment and have a proven track record in financial management, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
