A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide 1:1 support to a preschool student with autism and communication needs in an integrated preschool setting. This position is based in East Greenwich, RI, within a classroom of eight students. The RBT will collaborate closely with a special education teacher and two paraprofessionals to deliver personalized behavioral and communication interventions.
Key Responsibilities:
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans for a student with autism.
Support communication development and address the student's short attention span and high energy.
Work collaboratively with educational staff to create a positive and supportive learning environment.
Monitor and document student progress to inform ongoing intervention strategies.
Maintain consistent, professional communication with the team to ensure student success.
Qualifications and Experience:
Current Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
Experience working with preschool-aged children, preferably with autism and communication challenges.
Ability to manage behaviors and engage a student with high energy levels effectively.
Strong teamwork skills in a classroom setting.
Reliable and flexible availability, with full-time hours preferred from 9:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. or part-time morning hours from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Location: This contract role is located in East Greenwich, Rhode Island, within a district integrated preschool classroom.
