About the Role
The Company is in search of a Vice President of Accounting to take on a senior-level role within its private family office. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and entity-level operations across a complex multi-entity structure. This includes managing the close process, reviewing cash activity, and coordinating with external advisors. The role demands a hands-on, highly organized individual with strong technical accounting skills, and the ability to maintain strong internal controls and documentation standards. The Vice President of Accounting will also be involved in supervising and developing accounting staff, as well as assisting with special projects and ensuring a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in all family office matters.
Applicants for the Vice President of Accounting position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a CPA strongly preferred. A minimum of 10 years' progressive accounting experience is required, with a background in family office, private wealth, real estate, investment management, business management, or public accounting being advantageous. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of multi-entity accounting, financial reporting, cash management, and complex ownership structures, and experience working with trusts, partnerships, LLCs, and high-net-worth individuals. The role also requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work with a high level of discretion, as well as strong communication skills to interact with various stakeholders.
