This contract position is perfect for dedicated Speech Pathologists eager to provide assessment, intervention, and advocacy for K-12 students across several southern Virginia communities. You’ll work a steady weekday schedule—7.33 hours per day, Monday through Friday—for the entire school year. Your role will span multiple locations, with opportunities to serve students in Chesapeake, Isle of Wight County, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Southampton County, Suffolk, and Virginia Beach. With several positions available, we welcome both experienced SLPs and recent graduates! Qualifications & Experience:Active license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in Virginia (required)Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders from an accredited programOpen to both Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) and Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidatesPrevious experience in a school setting is preferred but not mandatoryStrong communication and organizational skills to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff Key Responsibilities:Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders among K-12 studentsDevelop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student’s needsDeliver evidence-based therapy sessions, both individual and groupMaintain records and compliance documentation efficientlyCollaborate closely with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to track progress and support student development This is an exciting opportunity for passionate Speech Pathologists to foster student growth and achievement within diverse school environments.
