
MQIPT Support Administrator (Oakland)

We are looking for an experienced
MQ / MQIPT Support Administrator
to support enterprise messaging infrastructure in a highly secure and fast-paced environment. This role involves installation, administration, troubleshooting, and security management of IBM MQ and MQIPT systems.
Open locations: Seattle (WA), Dallas/Plano (TX), St. Louis (MO), Charleston (SC), Ridley Park (PA)
Key Responsibilities:
Install, configure, upgrade, and troubleshoot
IBM MQ (WMQ)
and
MQIPT
Perform
MQ upgrades, deployments, and decommissioning activities
Manage and troubleshoot
x.509 certificates
for secure messaging
Work closely with
IBM support
to resolve production issues
Maintain
Linux systems
and develop shell scripts for automation
Implement and maintain
MQ security protocols
Create and maintain
documentation, standards, and KB articles
Provide
on-call support
and ensure SLA adherence
Follow
ITIL processes
and manage ticketing systems
Collaborate in a
SAFe Agile environment (ADO tools)
Mentor junior team members and promote best practices
Required Skills:
Strong hands-on experience with
IBM MQ (WMQ)
Proven experience with
MQIPT (MQ Internet Pass-Thru)
Solid knowledge of
Linux administration & shell scripting
Experience managing
x.509 certificates
Experience in
installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting
of MQ environments
Familiarity with
production support & on-call environments
Nice to Have:
Experience with
Perl scripting or C programming
Exposure to
SAFe Agile / Azure DevOps (ADO)
Knowledge of
ITIL processes & ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
