Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon

Responsibilities
Provide inpatient/outpatient surgical and non-surgical care
Perform surgery on complex orthopedic trauma cases:
Pelvic fractures, long bone and intra-articular fractures, upper/lower extremity trauma
Serve as Orthopedic Trauma Service Chief and liaison to the multidisciplinary trauma committee
Participate in:
Emergency call schedule (24/7 coverage per ACS Level 1 Trauma standards)
ACS trauma activities (data collection, compliance, trauma meetings)
Quality programs (required by hospital and American College of Surgeons)
Conduct critical review of orthopedic consultations from Emergency Department and inpatient units
Lead and mentor orthopedic surgery residents, medical students, physician assistants, and other staff
Qualifications
Board Eligible or Certified in Orthopedic Surgery
Fellowship-trained in Orthopedic Trauma
New York State Physician License
Advanced expertise in pelvic/intra-articular fractures, osteomyelitis, bone defect, limb lengthening, non-unions, and other complex pathologies
French or Haitian Creole language skills preferred, but not required
Benefits
Annual Base Salary: $519,000, with additional compensation for additional call or sessional/per diem hours.
Estimated annual total compensation value: $632,000, including salary, 401(k) contributions, CME reimbursement, paid time off, medical/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, malpractice coverage, FSAs, pre‑tax commuting contributions, and loan forgiveness or repayment programs.
401(k) Company Contribution: immediate 3% base earnings, plus additional 7% after one year of service
